Sometimes titles and pages just fall into place. After seeing this photo of our kitten Washi, my five year old son made a joke that I just had to document on a scrapbook page.The joke was funny only because Washi had climbed into the dryer after it had run, and because I always check both the washer and dryer for kitty before hitting start. So the only thing here that turns out to be distressing is what ended up on the layout.
I created the background grid with a couple of Dylusions Spray inks, a length of produce mesh, and a salvaged cardboard piece some game pieces were popped out from. It's fun to see what you may have lying around that you can apply mists with. After the pieces were misted, I flipped them over onto a clean sheet of white cardstock and then peeled them away.
I used Professional Acid Free Glue to first attach my background papers, then sealed them over with Decoupage and Craft Paste. Once the craft paste is dry, I love how it reacts with Glimmer Glam, and crackles in places.
I placed random spots of the Acid Free all over, and added small dots of paper confetti. Once dry, I brushed each spot with Decoupage and Craft Paste to seal them on from the top.
Add it all together with a few random Splats of Distress Stain and you've got a distressed layout with a punch line, and a happy ending.
