All That Glitters!!

Hello Helmar Fans!! Are you TOTALLY PSYCHED about the Holiday Blog Hop tomorrow?? I know I am! I can't wait to see what all of the fabulous designers have in store for us!!

I have a little glittery project to share with you today! It's quick and oh so simple! My kinda project!!

Helmar Ornaments

I started with some Cosmo Cricket bare naked chipboard ornaments. I sprayed them with V2 Vellum Adhesive. After letting them sit for about 5 minutes, I generously sprinkled them with PK Glitz Glitter! Now, I could have been finished here, they were so beautiful! But I'm a glitter-phobic! I HATE glitter all over the place! So, to be sure I sealed it in really well, I dug out my Helmar Acrylic Sealer! Using a paint brush, i dabbed the sealer all over my ornament. Do not rub the brush around, or you risk the chance of some glitter coming off on your brush! (NOTE: I poured some sealer into a small dish and worked out of that. The leftover was not put back in the bottle.. or the entire bottle would be contaminated with glitter! Tehehe!! 🙂 )

Now comes the hard part… waiting! 🙂 I dug out my heat gun and sped up the process some! but it does take a while for this to set up well. i left it overnight just to be sure! Then these ornaments are SEALED and glittery ! And they have a beautiful shine to them too!

Then the fun begins… you can leave them as they are, or decorate as you please! Here's what i come up with!

This project would also work with acrylic, wood, plastic… you name it!!
