And it continues….

Yeppers, the Scrap-Tastic Scrap-Tacular week continues and this post is a marathon!!

While creating a few cards and a few LOs using the Scrap-Tacular Kit I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry, Zapdots, Quick Fix Adhesive Runner and V2 Vellum Adhesive. Oh, and Liquid Scrap Dots, can't forget that!!!

Here are 2 cards that I created:

On this first one, I used Helmar's 1/2" White Circle Zapdots on the sentiment in the upper right hand corner and the lower left hand corner. It was all I needed since the chipboard was the same thickness 🙂 And since I didn't have my Helmar Acid Free Glue handy, I used the 450 Quick Dry to adhere the paper to the chipboard…. worked like a charm 😉 Shortly after I adhered the paper to the chipboard I sanded it down and look what happened!!

My next card was created for our new neighbors. It's a pretty simple card like the last one. I added a spray of Red Velvet Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels since it matches SO well with this kit! And again, I used the 1/2" White Circle Zapdots on the sentiment matt.

I love how Helmar's Zapdots really add that something special!!

And now for my LOs 🙂

On this one I spent quite a bit of time playing with the frame and getting it exactly perfect. I wanted the frame to have just a speck of blue glitter but BE mostly red. I started out spraying it with Helmar's V2 Vellum Adhesive, waiting 5 minutes and then covering with blue glitter by Clearsnap. I did the same ting again, but I covered it with red glitter by Clearsnap. Well, it turned out to be a bit more of a purple"ish" color so I did it all over again using the red glitter once again and Oh EM Geee… it was perfect! You can see in the image below that there is just a speck of blue that pops out but it's mostly red. And notice, I also popped up the family element with the Zapdots here 🙂

I used a few splashes of the Red Velvet Glimmer Mist on the background and sprayed quite liberally on the right to let the Glimmer mist "glide" down the page. The chipboard stars were covered with the plain portion of the My Mind's Eye flocked paper and sprayed with Red Velvet Glimmer Mist. Here again, you can see a few blue specks of blue on the border – LOVE IT!

And finally… My last LO! My MIL always says that my kid's are perfect li'l angels everytime she watches them. To this day I can not figure out exactly who's kids she is watching, because I know it is NOT mine – LOL!!! Anyways, I did create this LO for her birthday. The bling, cardstock and the flower along with a bunch of other goodies can all be found in the Scrap-Tacular Add-On Kit!

Just like in the last LO, I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry to adhere the paper to the chipboard hearts and sanded them down shortly after. Ok, call me frugal…. I used the background from the Fancy Pant's Die-Cuts for the heart in the center of the flower. It just goes to show that you really can use all your scraps!

That same heart that I just mentioned was popped up with Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots… I simply added a dab of the Liquid Scrap Dots to the center of the flower:

And carefully placed my chipboard heart on top, angling it just slightly.

Making the picture matt was fun… I took my matt and applied Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive ONLY to the center of the matt leaving about an 1/2" on the outter edge with no adhesive as you can see here, it's faint, but look closely!:

I adhered it to a piece of cardstock that was exactly the same size. I let the adhesive dry for about 1 minute (the 450 dries fast!) and then I sprayed the edges with Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. You CAN just spray it with water if you don't have Glimmer Mist. I choose to use a Glimmer Mist that didn't have a color, just a glimmer. All you really need is to get the edges wet. Then, I started rolling in the edges. Some areas come in more and some are rolled tighter. You can decide what works best for you! The rolled in edges add dimension and a border (since I used a double-sided paper) to the picture matt.
