This week the Helmar Design Team gets to play with all the wonderful pens & pencils from Faber-Castell.I just started art journaling ernestly in the last 6 months…I love it because it gives you the opportunity to play like a child again…testing all types of mediums, ideas, techniques….so much fun! With that in mind and being in a blue funky mood I created this page tonight. I had the background completed so I stamped this wonderful chick with a stamp designed by Joanne Sharpe for Art Gone Wild!. This page is a reminder for myself that I don't always need to see life as black and white…but to see all the beautiful colors in our everyday goings on.
The Background of this image was colored using the Faber-Castell Art GRIP Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils. By adding a wet paint brush I was able to give the journaling a watercolor effect. The journaling was done using the Essential PITT Artist Pens in all the various widths…from XS to Bold! I glued the stamped image to my journal using the HELMAR Professional Acid Free Glue {which is becoming one of my favorite adhesives}.
Thank you Faber-Castell for the opportunity to work with your wonderful products. They will become one of my standards in my arsenal of journaling supplies.
