Hello everyone.
Today's creation is one I have had sitting on my to do list for over a year now.
My inspiration was the cute bird house gifted to me for my birthday a few years ago and a beautiful bunch of pastel pink felt flowers.
So to create something similar you will need:
a small bird house
an assortment of flowers and leaves
an art canvas
an assortment of coloured sprays or paints
posca pen
texture paste
stencil
paper mache bird
some dainty embellishments, I used glass glitter and mermaid pearls
The glues I used for this project were:
450 Quick Dry Adhesive
Tacky Craft Glue
So let's get started
So these are the supplies I have gathered
First step was to use stencil paste and add some texture to the canvas. Then I covered everything with white gesso
Next step use several Spray inks and colour the birdhouse.
Randomly apply Spray inks over the reverse of the canvas and then some splatter highlights
Next step was to glue the birdhouse to the canvas.
Once dry i started to glue the flower stems onto the canvass edges.
I have then gone onto decorating the birdhouse and canvass with assorted glass glitter and glass beads using tacky craft glue.
The birdhouse was too bright so needed to be toned down a bit using a black posca pen.
I have added some highlights to the bird with the posca pen and then added a word verse.
