In case you have missed my exciting news, I am going to be a Grandmother! This is our first grandchild and we are over the moon excited!
I was invited to the shower my daughter's friends were hosting and I was happy to be able to travel to Phoenix to attend (we live in Michigan). My daughter is expecting a girl and I saw something on Pinterest that I wanted to try! This Baby Belly Corsage was so fun and easy to make and got rave reviews from the guests!
What do you need to make this? Flowers and Ribbon and of course, Helmar glue! I grabbed my Helmar Fabric Glue because it dries quickly and clearly.
I began making small clusters of flowers and attached them to a piece of stiff mesh.
I decided the backing needed to be firmer so I grabbed two coasters (yes, I always shove these in my purse when we are restaurants that use them)!
Once I had the flowers how I wanted them I glued the polka dot ribbon to the back of the coasters. I added multiple streamers of small pieces of ribbons. I just kept adding until I thought it felt finished. I even added a feather and some pearls. Here is a close up.
This corsage was even more special because a few of the flowers were from some of my daughter's wedding decor! Doesn't she look wonderful wearing it?!?
