Happy Monday, Helmar Fans!
I love to read which is probably why I love creating these bookmarks for other avid readers! I have recently started selling them on etsy and they are my #1 seller so I'm starting to make more of them. I thought I would share how easy they come together especially when attaching my image over a bulky ribbon.
Yep, there you have it! Helmar Liquid Scrap Dotsis KEY! There is no way my image is going to lay flat on that wrinkled ribbon and I love to fussy cut my images out so I just add a few dabs of Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to the back of the image and adhere to the bookmark!
I wanted to give you a side shot of how the Liquid Scrap Dots look prior to drying – pretty neat huh!
and here is a side view after it has dried over night. The most important thing you want to remember when using Liquid Scrap Dots is you don't want to press down hard, just lightly placeuntil it makes contact with your paper, surface, etc. If you squish it down (which I've done) you'll be like, huh, where is the dimension? LOL 😉 It generally sets in about 10-15 mins but after overnight it won't be going anywhere.
And here is the front of my bookmark. I just love these and this image was too cute! I just had to add Reading Rocks cuz she looks like she's telling you that very thing!! haha
I also took a couple pictures of the bookmark in use so you can see how fab it looks in a book!
