Christmas Tree Decoration – Lydia

Hello wonderful Helmar supporters. It's Lydia here and I am finally back sharing a Christmassy blog post.

It's been a busy year with myself graduating from high school and getting ready to head to university early next year. But today I am here to share a fun little Christmas decoration with you all.

For this project you will need:

- Patterned Paper (Here I have used Rinea foiled paper)

- Helmar Super-Tac Glue

- Twine

- Scissors/Paper Trimmer

- An embellishment for the top (I ended up deciding to use the foil paper instead of the flowers in the image below)

First step I took was cutting two pieces of the foiled paper at 2inches.

I than concertina fold the two strips.

The previous two steps were than repeated for 2 strips of paper at 1inch and 1 strip at 1/2 an inch.

Than both ends of the concertina strips were adhered together with Helmar Super-Tac and were placed to dry in a circular formation to create  rosette.

Rosettes were than shaped within sizing to create a Christmas tree shape and were adhered again with Helmar Super-Tac.

Last but not least an embellishment of your choice can be adhered to the top of the tree to represent a star. As well as a looped piece of twine so decoration is able to be hung.

And here is the final decoration hanging in one of the trees in my garden with beautiful looking red Christmassy flowers.

I hope you all enjoyed this little decoration project.

I would also like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I will see you all back here on the blog in 2019 sharing more Helmar project.
