Collecting Memories

Hi this is Gayle with the Helmar USA Design team from Florida. .In my family there are  9 nine nieces and nephews who love  to have their photo taken. ( for a little while longer) Plus I have  3 children of my own ( 2 who rarely let me take their picture). Most of my project focus on the little children since they are they ones most eager to have their photos taken.

The Holidays were a great time for me to clear out some of the projects and scrapbook pages that start building up around my house over the past year. I had received projects and pages back from the publishers. I usually give the first choice rights to my mom.   I gave thelarger projects to the children because they take up more space and are more personal ( ie: broken arm boxes with photos). The problem was once the I gave out the projects to the little children the special requests came in. I guess I have my projects worked out for this year.

Thankfully Helmar has some great creative partners who have sent some wonderful supplies for projects. So I now have to get busy thinking up projects for all of those special request. I am not really creative with sports projects though. .  Soooo if any of you have any great ideas I need to hear about them right away.

One of my favorite products  to work with from our partners is Core'dination Cardstock and they have some fabulous new releases that I will have to look for. You can see all of the soon to be CHA releases here New Releases.

So this is the Core'dinations Cardstock collection that I used for this project. Just follow this link and you will see the entire collection.

The Helmar Adhesives are my usual stand bys with a small change. I tend to use Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for my bulky stuff as well as. For photos I raise them up with  Helmar Zap Dots and i attach papers with Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner. This time I added Helmar Scrap Dots to the mix to attach  the flowers on top of the watch face.

These are the products that I used for this project. You can see all of the other Helmar Adhesives  when you visit the Helmar Blog. Here is the link where each of the adhesive and their uses are explained on the Helmar Blog.

I started my sanding the black  Core'dination Cardstock as the base of my page and added the other papers on top of that page. The linear design of the black page draws your eye directly in to the page. I love how the cars stock give your page a personalized effect. I attached the ivory and red papers with Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive runner. The photo was mounted with Zap dots. The embellishment are attached with Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive and Helmar Scrap Dots.

Collecting memories 1 2011

My nieces were wandering around my parents farm letting me take photos of them. I was able to take some great photos of them.

While they were here we also made hair barrettes and clips. They learned to make Yo Yo's and sew running strips of fabric and gather it for flowers. The best part for them was the glueing… especially the colored feathers. No projected can have too many feathers.
