There are two things that make me really happy – bright colours and bling! So when I put them together on a project, I am in seventh heaven (to say the least). Today, I am going to share a 12 frame photo display that I decorated with colours that are 100% me!!!
I started with a Kaisercraft photo display (coloured with Decadence Chalkboard Glimmermist), the Miss Nelly collection of papers from Kaisercraft, lots of bits and pieces from my stash, and the following Helmar supplies:
Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to add lots of depth and dimension to the project. That was the great thing about this photo display – I could add as much layering and depth as I wanted without having to worry about whether it would fit in an album. Bonus!!!
The Helmar Quick-Fix Permanent Adhesive Runner made attaching the paper to the back of the frame a very easy task. No messy glue getting on my fingers, or dripping where it shouldn't. No wrinkles or seeping glue either.
The Helmar Acid Free glue allowed me extra time to add glitter to my project without worrying about the glue drying too fast to do the job properly.
And my BFFL – Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. This made sure all my embellishments were attached securely and not going anywhere they shouldn't!!! Make's me think of that question everyone asks, "If you could only take one thing with you to a deserted island what would it be?". "Why! Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive of course!!!".
Here, you can see that I have attached cut-out flowers directly to the top of the frame, with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. I also used it to attach the rhinestone flourishes (which had been stuck to transparency then cut out).
I added Helmar Acid Free glue to the chipboard crown, then sprinkled with Champagne crushed glass glitter. The extra drying time allowed me to push all the glitter pieces into place and make sure the entire crown was covered evenly.
Can you see how the banner flags are raised up from the tray? I achieved that dimension with the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. And I adhered the chipboard words with my Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
I was a little bit concerned about adding a key to the tray. I didn't know how I was going to attach it. But again, the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots came to the rescue. I simply coated the back of the key with the Liquid Scrap Dots, placed it on the tray, and wiped away the excess with a wooden skewer. And it hasn't budged since, lol!
