So, I saw some really cool flowers on ScrapScene a while back and thought they were gorgeous and had to start making them myself!

Ond a similar one I have yet to use on a project:
Of course, to make them I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive! Really, it was my only choice since I rarely sew and quite frankly, I don't like to 😉 So I turned to my friend 450! It dries fast so I didn't have to sit there and hold the fabric and lace together for a few minutes at a time. I started the base using 4 flowers cut freehand out of a large sheet of vintage lace.
After I had the base together I adhered fabric and dyed lace ribbon on the inside just gathering/pleating it so it fits inside the flower base. And I topped it off with a button center! On the first flower shown, I added pleated fabric on the underside of the base since I needed it to be a bit larger and without the green fabric, the flower got "lost" on the paper.
Here are 2 baby flowers that I started off with a white felt base.
These can go on your scrapbooking layout, projects, mini books or even be made into a hair piece or pin!
