Every year we make up Christmas cards for all our family and friends. This year however, I still have a rather large stock pile of cards from throughout the year. But I still wanted to make up a couple of quick cards for just our parents.
I had some paper scrap laying around from a Fynmark demo that I have had so I thought that I would use those to create a couple of cards with a little help from Helmar.
For my first card I used half a paper doiley that I hadglimmer misted, embossed them glimmer misted again. What I love the most about Helmar adhesivesis how easy they make the job. Paper doily's normally I find quite painful to adhere with all the fiddly bit. However with my Helmar Acid Free Glue and Helmar Glue Spreader I was able to apply the glue evenly then adhere to the front of the card. Then I used my Helmar Glue Spreader to "iron" out any wrinkles. This meant the doily dried evenly without warping the paper.
My second card I had lots of fun creating a shadow box. But with a little bit of a twist with the adhesive. I am a little bit of a scrooge and hate throwing things away. Can you see the long black strip in the photo below..
Well.. that strip is actually from the negative left on the Helmar Zap Dots. I hate throwing it away so I cut it up to the sizes I needed and made up my shadow box for my second card.
