Curls, Curls and more Curls. Yup I've got enough hair for an entire clown entourage. Ringlets that make Shirley Temple look like a straight haired girl, and I haven't always loved them. Over the years though, I've realized that they are a "BIG" part of who I am. Springy, energetic, a mind of its own…see the similarities between my bouffant and me? Anyone who has met me knows that I've got a HUGE personality, so why not huge hair to match???
I created this layout for the challenge blog These are a Few of My Favorite Things, and it wouldn't have come together without my crafty remedy Helmar!!! This stuff make EVERYTHING come together. If I could use V2 Vellum spray for hairspray I would. Could ya see it now? bahahahahahahaha
For the layout, I used one of my favorite paper collections from Paper Trunk. The feel of this paper between your fingertips is pure bliss. And it is environmentally friendly to boot. The Rockabilly collection is filled with a real edge and I thought it was the perfect fit for this crazy haired layout.
Now what wonderful Helmar products did I use and where? Are ya sitting comfortably because this list is long. First off, all of the paper to paper is adhered using my best friend Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. I use this on every single project I create and once you try it, you'll see why. I also used 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for the metal embellishment too.
The photo is lovingly adhered using Helmar Premium Craft Glue and is the best for photos. All those little epoxy dots grab hold with Helmar Gemstone Glue and the flowers get a good dollop of Heaven in a Tube AKA Helmar Liquid Scrapdots. I swoon for you every day Liquid Scrapdots ~swoon~. Lastly, I used the V2 Vellum adhesive for the backs of the alpha letters just to add a little extra UUUMMPH!!!! (see it may just work for that hairspray afterall…pondering)
So the moral of the story? Crazy hair and Helmar both creep into your heart and make it sing…
