Hi Helmar fans!!! I have been re-purposing again and with the help of Helmar it has been easy to turn something old and rusty into something sparkly and pretty!! This was made a few weeks before I recieved my Helmar goodies and the partnering goodies so I did what I love to do~re-purpose. So here we go~ these are my Helmar go to's { my fave's}~
I started out with some old , rusty tart pans and some Dear Santa photo chips by Darkroom Door. I cut the photo chips in a circle and adhered a Zap Dot to the back of the photo chip and placed it in the bottom of the tart pan. I then took some Christmas paper and made a meduim rossete {Tim Holtz die}, coated the sides of the tart tins with Helmar's Acid Free Glue and pressed the rosette {at this point it looks likes a bottomless cup cake paper} into the sides of the tart tins. Let it set up a few minutes and then the pattern paper will not move around on you.
I used glitter, snow and pearls to decorate them and make them look sparkly for the Christmas tree. I cut holly leaves from the Tim Holtz die and painted them with H2O's by Lumin Arte. I cut them out of a brown paper bag. The words are the Dear Santa word strips by Darkroom Door.
I glued everything on with the fabulous Helmar 450 Quick Dry! I love how that glue grips fast~it hasn't let me down yet.
I used bakers twine to make the tie on for the tree. Here is one more shot~I made five of these and they look so cool on the tree!!! Hope you enjoyed this and I will see ya soon!! by: C. Mercer
