Hi everyone! Happy Monday to you! Becky Teichmiller here with a fast and easy project for ya! These candles make great gifts or you can also make them for yourself! I have to preface that I do NOT recommend burning any candle you decorate. I got mine on clearance from (I think) Wal-Mart. You don't have to get fancy candles and do not buy the colored ones if you you plan on putting photos or colored images on it like I did. I created one for my grandma, who will turn 100 next Tuesday and the other one is for our neighbor that turned 9 two days ago. As you can see, you can create this for anyone of any age for any occassion!

The great thing about these is that since every side is covered you can use it as a centerpiece or part of a centerpiece.
To start, I chose my pictures and edited them to my liking. I printed my images on regular copy paper, not photo paper. On the candle to the left, I attached the pictures to the candle using brads and I held the strip of photos on the candle to the right while taking my heat gun and melting them to the candle. You want to make sure you don't over heat areas which will cause drippage. The paper soaks up the melted wax and the picture becomes part of the candle! After that's done, it's time for the fun stuff – embellishing! I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to adhere my paper and embellishments. All the papers and embellishments are from the Spring Delight Kit from Scrap-Tastic… Papers and sticker are from Bella Blvd, Ribbon is by Fancy Pants, Ball Trim and flowers are from Prima and Buttons are misc.
