Drawing with glue

"Feng Shui is a system for arranging your surroundings in harmony and balance with the natural world around you. In Chinese, the words Feng Shui mean "wind and water." Feng Shui For Real Life is a contemporary, practical approach that allows you to use what you already have and what you want to acquire to bring good things into your life." Feng Shui For Real Life

I chose to do my symbols loosely, this Music symbol is for Creativity which is to be placed on the right side of your wall, let's say in your art room. That's where I have mine. You can go here to see the placement of your own Bagua.

Drawing your lines:

First adhere a piece of paper (I used  handmade paper) to a piece of chipboard using Helmar Craft & Hobby Glue.  Draw your shape with the glue onto a piece of paper using Helmar Tacky Glue. You can draw your shapes in pencil first or "draw" directly with the glue itself. Although this picture shows the tip of my glue touching the paper, in actuality it does not touch the paper at all. You might need to practice this technique but once you get the hang of "drawing" in the air, the effect is awesome.

Wait for it to dry. Once it is dry is will turn a translucent white.

Then using a black Sharpie, I colored the glue by simply running the Sharpie over the dried glue.

Once the image is dry you can color it in using the appropriate Feng Shui color needed for you Bagua.

I would like to show more of what you can do with this technique which is quite fun and easy. This past week-end I had an art show and all my canvases were done with this "drawing with glue" technique, but done on canvas instead of paper and a little more intricate, but I followed the same steps as above.
