Hello Helmar fans well today I have a simple but beautiful gift for you to create. There are times when our family or friends are going through difficult times and need some extra uplifting words and support, this gift is ideal. You fill the jar with uplifting/encouraging quotes for them when they need a smile or some positivity. Pinterest is the perfect place to gather wonderful quotes and thats what I did. I have made this gift for my daughter so my quotes are women focused.
K Mart or similar have cheap mason jars, just make sure the opening is big enough for a hand to fit in to pick out the quotes!
You can either use hand punches or a cut file machine to cut your basics for decorating the jar. I have cut a label for the jar front, a tag and a scallop for the top of the jar. I have used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to attach to the jar and lid.
I then decorated my tag, I attached my die cut butterflies with Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to add height and create a 3D effect. I then tied my tag to the lip of the jar. I went through my stash and found matching butterflies to add to my lid to keep my theme.
I then wanted to add some sparkle for my jar so I added sequins and hand punched butterflies and hearts.
I attached my larger butterfly embellishment with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, it needs to be a good glue other wise your butterfly will be removed when the lid is opened.
Then I used my typewriter to type out my quotes on white card stock. Now if you do not have a type writer you could use your computer, type and print. I used smaller quotes so the paper quotes did not look bulky in my jar.
And there you have it, a meaningful but pretty gift to give!
On your jar label you could put the persons name or a quote as I did. Again I used my 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to attach my quote on the jar label.
