See how Kate uses Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesives and ZapDots to add some fancy to her frame.
Hi! Katie here. A few months ago my girlfriend Kelly, of Babiole de Windsor, went to a fabulous home decor store in Austin, Texas. She saw a gorgeously decorated (and ridiculously overpriced at $85) picture frame and sent me a picture of the frame with a note that read "We can do this!" So we did!
This is my finished Fancy Frame….
I packed up my supplies and headed to Massachussetts for a crafty day with Kelly and Pam. Of course my supplies included my stash of Helmar glues.
We used cheap $2 frames from a salvage store. For my fancy frame I started by mixing Gesso with acrylic paint and covering the frame so I could add texture with some stamps and punchinella.
Because both the jewelry pieces were pretty heavy, I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to attach the old bracelet (from Kelly's stash) to the to bottom of the frame and the glass knob to the bracelet.
I found the antique metal embellishment on the top of my frame at an antique shop for only $2. Attaching it to the frame with Helmar Liquid ScrapDots was the only way to go due to the fact that the embellishment wasn't flat on the back.
The above picture is all of our fancy frames (please forgive the not-so-fabulous Iphone photo). As you can see we all have our own style. The one thing we all did use on our frames was Helmar glues!
