Hello Crafty Friends! I'm back on the Helmarworldwide blog today with a fun scrapbook layout. My theme for this project is "Farm" so I chose this fun paper collection from October Afternoon called "Farm Girl". Of course you can use any theme or paper collection you have in your crafty stash.
Supplies used: October Afternoon "Farm Girl" paper collection, stickers, and brads
Helmar Professional Acid Free glue, Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots, Helmar Super-Tac Glue
Twine, paper trimmer, scissors, and photos of your choice
White cardstock
First off, choose your background base paper for your layout. I chose this distressed wood paper as my background, since it had that old time vintage feel to match my theme.
Choose your photos you like to use for your layout. I chose to use 3 photos.
Next mat all your photos with white cardstock, leaving about a 1/4" edge around your photo. This gives it a nice clean look and makes your photos stand out on your scrapbook page.
I highly recommend using Helmar Professional Acid Free glue to attach your photos to both your cardstock and to your layout. It dries clear, and won't harm your precious photos or cause them to turn yellow.
On the top of my layout I added these cute "Sew Fun" banner flags to my piece of twine. Measure and cut your piece of twine to fit across your 12×12 base page. Then place some Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to the back of your banner flags to make them pop up on your page.
Next I added my photos to my scrapbook layout. After you are satisfied with the placement of your photos, you can glue them down onto your page using Helmar Professional Acid Free glue.
I always like to choose a title, phase or sentiments to describe my theme of my page. I used some stickers to add a phase to my scrapbook page. I glued them down using Helmar Super-tac glue. It dries clear, is flexible and grabs firmly to your surface.
Last you can choose to add any other embellishments to your layout that you like. I added this cute farmhouse brad to the middle of my page. I added a Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to the back of my head to give it some height. I added a chicken sticker to the bottom of my page to match my photo. I popped it up again using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots. I also added a word sticker to the bottom of each photo.
I hope this project inspired you to get out your photos and start scrapbooking! Thank you for visiting the Helmar Worldwide blog!
Till next time, have a crafty month!
