Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a fun technique called Faux Silk. For this technique you will need the Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue and tissue paper. This is very simple technique that you can use to improve your stamping designs and create a beautiful touches on your scrapbook projects and cards. This is my card:
Creating this card is very easy, so let me show you how: Cut a piece of white tissue paper a little bigger of the piece that you will use of card stock.
Stamp over the tissue paper the images that you want to use. I am using one holly leaves from the stamps set Happy Holly Days from Hero Arts using Garden Green Classic Ink.
With a marker enhance some details of the images and distress the entire piece with your hands. Then smooth the paper again keeping some of the wrinkles.
Take a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and add some spots of Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue. Smear the glue with your fingers and let the glue dry a little before moving on to the next step.
Paste the tissue paper keeping some distress lines and leaving a free borders.
Turn over the paper and paste the borders using Helmar Runner Adhesive.
Stamp a sentiment a decorate with a loops of baker's twine.
Paste over the decorated layer using Zapdots.
Paste the decorated layer over a base using Helmar Runner Adhesive and then over the card base.
This technique is very simple and creates a great effect over the card stock all depends how wrinkle is the tissue paper.
