Forever Friends

Happy New Year! How can it possibly be 2018 already?
I hope you all had a wonderful festive season. Ours was lovely and warm
and as always went too quickly!
To start the year off I have a layout and tips to show you that I created with some
brilliant Helmar products and also our blog hop partners for January – Rinea and
their wonderful foiled papers.

Here's what I started with:

I also used these papercraft products:

Bazzill chiffon cardstock
Kaisercraft white cardstock
Pink Paislee Turn the Page collection
Paige Taylor Evans rolled flower cut file
Spotlight beads and sequins
Silhouette Cameo

To begin I used my silhouette Cameo to cutout my title. I wanted to use
the negative. So I used some Helmar professional acid free glue on the other
side of the cardstock to affix the gorgeous copper Rinea foiled paper behind the title.
After letting the glue dry I water-coloured 2-3 cm inside the page.

Some of the title needed a bit of extra glue

Next I matted my photo with the lovely pink Rinea foiled paper,
using Helmar professional acid free glue

Next I placed some gorgeous patterned paper, a little more pink Rinea
and my photo to the centre of the page.

Then my favourite part, the embellishments!
I applied some of the pretty flowers with Helmar Scrap Dots

I added the pretty pink ricrac to my journaling and other ribbons beneath my photograph
using Helmar fabric Glue

And to finish I used Helmar Gemstone Glue to apply sequins and beads

Here's my first completed layout for 2108, I'm pretty happy with it.
I hope it gives you some inspiration. Definitely use Helmar adhesvies
and Rinea foiled paper when you next craft!
