I am still scattering glitter about. The other parents probably wonder about me showing up to pick up my kids with pink glitter all over me…but oh well. 🙂 I was watching Extra yesterday while eating lunch and Nancy O’dell was on it and admitted that she scrapbooked. But she said something like “most people think of scrapbooking as paper, glue and glitter but it’s not anymore.” Well Nancy…I got a page to share with you…and it’s made with paper, glue and glitter! Ok…a couple extra things are thrown in there but that is the bulk of it! 🙂

But before I share it with you, let me share a technique that I like to do. I love taking a piece of patterned paper and looking for a way to enhance part of the design. For today’s layout, that enhancement came in the form of glitter. 🙂

First I started with my paper (piece from Pink Paislee), my glue (Helmar’s Acid Free Glue), and my glitter (from P K Glitz).

I covered a portion of the design with glue. Now, take note…I did not even try to do this perfectly. I have said it a million times…perfectionism is way overrated.

Then I covered with glitter. It’s a good idea to have an extra sheet of paper behind your project to catch all the fly away glitter. 🙂 I actually allowed this to sit a little like this and came back to it later.

Then pour the excess glitter back into container. I do this by pouring it onto a piece of paper and then curving that paper to make sort of a funnel and funnel it back into the container. I didn’t take a picture of my design after taking the excess glitter off…oops. But you will see it on my finished project.
