I'm one lucky girl!!! Not only do I get to work with all the incredible Helmar products, but now the design team and I have an amazing list of preferred partners to work with as well. Today, I'm working with the Jack's World collection by Cosmo Cricket.
One of the Helmar products I've been eager to try, is the Fray
Stoppa. I've never used anything like it before, but it sounded kind of
interesting! I decided to try it out and make a simple project that included some ribbon and
denim scraps.
The letters were painted on the sides and then covered with patterned paper using Helmar's Acid Free Glue.
Above you can see I tied the ribbon
around the letter and the paperclip, then cut the ribbon and applied the
Fray Stoppa to the raw edges. When it first went on, I was a little
worried that It might stain the ribbon, but it dried perfectly clear,
and look how nice and neat my ribbon looks. Love it!!!
Here I added ribbon around the edge of the car. To make sure the ribbon doesn't unravel I applied some of the Fray Stoppa to the cut ends.
For the letter "A" above I cut some denim scraps, then applied the Fray Stoppa to the raw edges. After about five minutes, when the denim was dry, I stitched along the top edges with embroidery floss then adhered it the rest of the project using Helmar's Premium Craft Glue.
