Good morning everyone, Steph Ackerman here with some 4th of July fun. Here in the U.S. we celebrate the 4th of July with parties, fireworks and outdoor dining.
So, when I head to a friend's home for the 4th of July, I like to take a little "something" with me for the hostess. The fun part is the dressing. Everyone loves getting gifts, but I truly enjoy decorating the packaging for the gift.
I started with a white gift bag and decorated it with stars. Using ColorBox Crafter's Ink in Blueberry with a ColorBox Art Screen, the gift bag was decorated quickly.
I cut blue and red cardstock to fit the gift bag and adhered them together using Helmar Tacky Craft Glue. This glue dies clear and quickly so it was a great choice. A ribbon was tied around the panel which was then adhered to the gift bag using the same glue. It adhered well without wrinkling the papers.
The stamp is a Magnolia stamp which was perfect for the 4th of July. She was colored with Copic Markers, then die cut and placed atop a red die cut panel. The image was then adhered to the panel with Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots which created dimension.
The coordinating card was created the same as the gift bag and this is the result.
I realized I made a mistake when coloring the flag so I stamped and colored the flags again, fussy cut them and adhered them to the base images with Helmar Tacky Craft Glue.
