Gratitude-on-the-Go Journal with Tamiko

Hey guys and gals, Tamiko here!! Can you believe it's November already! For me November is a reminder to be grateful and if you have nothing to be grateful, now is the time to take time to think about it. It only takes 3 minutes to make a list, sometimes less! Create one of these on the go journals and pop it in you bag or purse, make a list on the train to work or waiting in the pick up line in the drive-thru!

My project is simple. Just a small book enabling you to list daily things, you are grateful for!  They say it takes 21 days to make a habit, lets start today!  Then when thanksgiving comes around, maybe you or the person you make one for can acknowledge and know the little gifts our life gives us daily to be grateful for!  Let's get started!

Supplies:

Helmar Premium Craft Glue

Helmar Super Tac

Arnold Grummer 52 card fan deck kit

Prima flowers and lace

Canvas Fabric

Cardstock

Scissors

Various Paints

Paint marker

Micron pen

The most fun part of the book is creation of the covers!  Here I cut some canvas fabric almost 1/2 inch pass the edges of the cover and a cut the corners off. I use the Premium Craft Glue to adhere it to the chipboard covers and flip the overage on the other side to make clean covered edges. I then cover the incomplete side with a decorative paper of some sort and used the Super Tac PVA as the adhesive!

I then paint the canvas.  Of course I could have done it before I put it down, but I didn't want to wait for the paint or glue to dry!  While drying, I gathered a cluster of flowers and some lace to adhere to the cover with Super Tac PVA Glue.  I then lightly added color to the neutral color flowers with brush pen markers.  I also made a banner with the word G.R.A.T.I.T.U.D.E on it.  You really can use the book for a number of things labeling them reminds you and anyone after you who reads your journal what it was about.  Plain and simple.

November 2, let me list some things I am grateful for: Helmar, my design team family, journals and creating for you.  I could go on and I probably will .. just in my journals!!  Have a wonderful month of gratitude as the end of our year approaches!  Create to make memories, hold those memories together for a super duper long time with Helmar!!  See you all soon!!
