Having family overseas during the holidays is always hard. It is always hardest for those children whose parents are away serving our country. With new technology, our service men and women now can see and hear their loved ones voices on holidays. But, it is the packages that they receive overseas that give them a little piece of home.
We have two family members about to fly overseas to war. Unfortunately they are leaving right at the holidays and we have to get their packages to them now so they can take their presents with them for Christmas.
I think the package says everything about the giver and receiver. I love to make my packages beautiful. Sometimes too beautiful that at Christmas parties people are fighting over the package; pieces are flying off of it, and I am shaking my head at why I even spent all that time. HA!
