Hey all!!! More Helmar USA to share with you using the fabulous Bella BLVD products!! The entire design team is doing such an amazing job with these products, don't ya think? I want to thank Bella BLVD for creating an entire line… just for me! Well… not REALLY, but it sure feels that way!! I got to play with the MAN OF THE HOUSE line… and It just felt like it was made just for me! With 5 guys living in this house… MAN OF THE HOUSE sure suits my scrapping needs!
To create this layout of my oldest son, I took strips of varying width of the Man of the House line adhered them to a strip of cardstock using the Quick Fix Adhesive runner. Along the edges of the cardstock, I used the Purple Cows Freestyle Cutting Mouse and the long wave cartridge. It was SO simple to use! After this strip of papers was complete, I adhered it to my page again using the Quick Fix Adhesive Runner .
Then I dug out my sewing machine! I adhered the entire page to a piece of red cardstock… Then stitched around the edges. I took out the Purple Cows Freestyle Cutting mouse again and used the Perforating cartridge this time. I perforated the edges and then tore them off, giving them a great distressed look! I'll be using this cartridge again for sure!
I'm a big fan of Corrugated Cardboard, so I tore a strip off the HELMAR box that my stash arrived in this week and created a mat for my photo. i tore all 4 edges and inked them with black ink. I then Adhered my photo to it using Helmar Quickdry 450 (I forgot to put it in my photo… GASP!!) Yes! It is ok to use it on your photo's!! No rippling… no wet marks! Just perfection! I also used it on the bottom of the cardboard to adhere it to the page. Corrugated cardboard is heavy, but the 450 had NO trouble holding it down!
For my large chipboard heart I used the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots! I loved that I could make it stick down at different heights… since some was sticking to the corrugated cardboard, and other parts directly to the page. The liquid scrap dots made this SO simple!
The awesome word strips from Bella BLVD, my journaling strips and some random other pieces were all stuck down using the Quick Fix Adhesive Runner… Love that thing!! I also made use of the Clear Zap Dots in both large and small sizes on the buttons.
Something was missing… i just was not satisfied… So, I grabbed my Tattered Angels Glimmer mists! I am kind of a control freak… so this stuff scares me! LOL! So to have complete control, I cover the center part of my page holding the photo using a scrap of cardstock… dip a small toothbrush into the mist, and apply it to my page spraying it using my thumb… it works like a charm! 🙂 Now I'm happy!
