Heart Shaker Card by Rachel Lowe:

I love sequins and I love adding shakers to my cards and scrapbooking layouts. Today I have a heart shaker card for you. I have used Helmar 450 Quick dry glue to make my shaker and card.

Shakers are easy to make and I will show you how to make this heart one.

Firstly you need to cut one solid heart. Then you need to cut five more with the centres removed as above.

Using your helmet 450 Quick Dry Glue attach one at a time the four hearts without a centre.

This gives you depth to be able to add sequins without them falling out.

Don't over fill you want them to be able to move when you shake.

Using acetate (or vellum if you prefer) and hand cut a heart and attach over the sequins.

Now add your last heart without a centre over the acetate (or vellum), this covers the edge of your acetate.

Now you have a shaker heart!

I have made a Valentine card using scraps from my stash but making sure my shaker heart remains the feature.

I added a sticker and wooden flair from my stash to the inner of my card to finish off!

You can use the same method and make other shakers such as a star, balloon, sun etc.
