Have you ever found a project that you created years ago and found that your embellishments have loosened and fallen off? The project I'm going to show you is a PROJECT RE-DO. I created this in 2008 and just found it…realizing that I didn't really like my chosen embellishments and they were falling off but I loved the concept. So out came my 450 to save the day. Here is a look at the steps and the final outcome. It really was a quick and easy fix and I'm pleased as punch that I was able to save it.
I proceded with applying the new embellies as if I was creating a collage…all the largest flower were applied first. I randomly glued them on and didn't really worry about placement as I knew I would go back several times with more layers of smaller flowers and finally the smallest pieces would be applied.
I love using up my stash so after applying the smaller filler flowers I rummaged through and found this perfect pack of Prima buttons and also several different brads in the perfect color range {I love when that happens}.
Here is a look at the finished project..I'm so happy with it! Check out that gorgeous trim…it is from Prima and I think it is one of the prettiest trims still to this day…one of the reasons I wanted to re-do this project. I know that this will sit proudly out for many years to come and I will never have to worry about my embellishments falling off again…that is why Helmar 450 Quick Dry is my go to glue!
