Greetings Helmar fans…I'm back to post another project created with Helmar Adhesives. I wanted to utilize this gorgeous card box from Walnut Hollow. I first misted it with Aquamarine and Dark Denim Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. I also misted my Pink Paislee Mistable paper and tag with Blackberry Cordial, Calypso & Fairway from Tattered Angels. Fast and quick and once dry I was ready to embellish using my favorite 450 Quick Dry and Liquid Scrap Dots. I adhered the paper and tag using my brayer to smooth out any bumps and lumps…pleasantly surprised when I realized that they were few and far between. Digging into my Prima supply I found an assortment of Prima Flowers perfect to go with the colors I chose for my paper…some small…some large but I knew that I didn't have to worry about attaching these flowers to my card box. Once completed a crystal knob was attached for the top handle to help finish off this project. I love how pretty it turned out and also the fact that I never have to worry if my embellishments will stick. Having Helmar Adhesives takes the worry of everything falling off a distant memory. I also want to share a home repair job utilizing 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. I'm very fortunate to have a younger sister who is an antique dealer. Several years ago I found a set of vintage ruby glass drape holders and they worked perfectly in my home. One day as I was straigthening the drapes one of them broke in half. For the last year it has been sitting on the window sill just waiting for me to fix it. Really I've been ignoring the job but the lightbulb went on…if 450 Quick Dry works so good on my projects why not try to repair with it. So I did and quess what it did the job. This adhesive will probably not only sit in my Big Daddy Glue Caddy but also in my tool box!
