Ready to see what our Helmar Design Team created for us today?
First up today is one of our Helmar Educators, Katie Nolan-Denham. Katie wrote, “Inspired by the "journey" themed quotes in Simple Stories "Documented" line, I created this mini-album card for a co-worker who was leaving for a new job opportunity.
Behind the Simple Stories transparency overlays my co-workers wrote their notes of encouragement and support.
I used some corrugated cardboard to give the papers some more stiffness. The papers were applied to the cardboard with Helmar Premium Craft Glue and the rhinestones were adhered with Helmar Gemstone Glue.
With Helmar Glues and Simple Stories "Documented" line this out-of-the box card whipped up quickly and impressed all of my co-workers.

Next up is Design Team member, JJ Sobey. She says, “I took inspiration from the decorations on the sticker sheet that went with this collection, and decided to make a simple ornament project you can do with your kids in an afternoon. A manual die-cutter can be a lot of fun for kids – they love the instant results. Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA glue is kid-friendly, and has all the hold you need for Christmas ornaments involving fabric / felt and paper.
I cut the Joy, Hope, Gingerbread and 'icing' from the Simple Stories papers (the 'burlap' pattern was perfect for a gingerbread man!). Then I cut some denim backers using the same die, to back the 'cookies'. I glued the cookies to the denim and then decorated with more of the papers, and some of the stickers. Then I glued the ornaments to the felt, and trimmed around with decorative scissors. (Younger kids might need help with that step).
My 7 year old will love doing all the cutting, and the 4 year old will be able to manage the stickers and some of the glueing. Using the Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA glue will ensure these decorations last for more than just one Christmas. "

Last for today is Lisa Wilkinson who made a whole mini album. Lisa says, …
…“I made this fun mini with Helmar Acid Free and Simple Stories Harvest Lane, adding a couple of punched epoxies with my Epiphany Crafts Button and Bubble Cap tools. It was fast and easy to put the whole denim album together using the Simple Stories with Helmar and I really love how cute it turned out, too! I used a denim 7×7 album by Creative Memories as a base for the album and it fit the family and fall theme so perfectly!”
