Hello again. This is Cheryl, Helmar Design Team Member from Cheryl’s Window, and I’m so excited to be back with you again this week as we feature Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. This might be my favorite adhesive because it can do so many things, as I’m sure you will see this week. It might be my favorite because I like to work with dimension and mixed media quite a bit. Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive has proven itself time and time again in so many of my projects.
Today’s project is a little hanger for my studio comprised of Studio 490 Art Parts that were stamped with Wendy Vecchi’s Studio 490 coordinating stamps and colored with Ranger Distress Stains and Distress Inks as well as some paint and Ranger Alcohol Ink. You can see that there are many different layers here all glued together. You can click on any of these pictures for a closer look.
I’ve also added a Tattered Angels chipboard wing found deep in my stash and the lovely handle was found on my latest antique shopping trip when I was in New England. Needless to say, there are many different elements in this hanger. The background piece is an Art Part that was covered with Tim Holtz Kraft Resist paper adhered with Helmar Acid Free Glue. I wanted a smooth and complete covering with the paper and knew that the Helmar Acid Free Glue would give me solid and full coverage and yet would dry quickly and not warp any paper and/or compressed paper/wood art part. All other elements were attached using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, including the handle on top. I could have drilled holes and screwed it in, but why when I know Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive will do the trick.
Now to add a little hanger on the back and hang this on a wall in my studio. I think I’m going to put it up in front of my desk so that I can see it every day. I adore the way this came out and love all the elements on it. I hope you like it and can see that Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive works hard to attach so many different elements and can help make us all artists by keeping our work together for a long time to come.
