I have first got to say that I am not a big stamper, but working with such cute and whimsical designs, such as Lawn Fawn , has changed my opinion! They're so fun, like your own coloring book images!Stamps aren't just great for cards, they're also great for our layouts too. I was so excited when I found these stamps in my DT box! The set I received was Critters In The Forest, and Smitty's ABC's.
Here on my layout I used both sets of my Lawn Fawn stamps. The adorable critters and the little "to" in my title. I have to say that Smitty's ABC's are the perfect small size! I used Helmar's Quickfix Adhesive Runner on my papers and photos, and Helmar's Premium Craft Glue for the fabric pieces and heavier embellishments. Finally the last adhesive I used was Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots for the butterflies to give them extra lift on an angle, love how Liquid Scrap Dots can do that!
For the little raccoon and fox, I used StazOn ink and stamped on a thick vinyl material from the Magpie Club's June bits & bobs kit. The vinyl was a little on the heavy side so I used Helmar's Premium Craft Glue to adhere after cutting out the images. The Helmar Premium Craft Glue also worked great for the little buttons and beads in the center of the butterflies.
Next I decided to create a card. I really fell in love with Lawn Fawn's little fox stamp and the saying "hello foxy", so of course I had to use it again! This time I stamped on my cardstock and then with a paintbrush, painted Helmar Gemstone Glue inside the stamped lines and then sprinkled tiny red glass beads for my foxy little critter. When it was dry, I cut it out and used it in a little scenery with the log stamp, birdie, and mushrooms stamped on vinyl (white acrylic was used to pain the spots). To put the card together I used Helmar Quickfix Adhesive Runner for the papers, and Helmar 450 Quick Dry for the scalloped border, ribbon, and flower. Lastly I also used Helmar Zapots to raise my glitzy red fox.
The picture doesn't do my fancy little fox justice. In person she is quite glimmery from all the beads.
