It really is amazing what one can find when one takes the time to clean up and oraganize a bit. I'll admit that one I'm speaking of is me! I can tell you with utter and complete embarrasement that I had a shocking revelation when I found a whole bunch of patterned paper and embellishments that I totally forgot I had.
Raise your hand. How many of you have ever said out loud or thought to yourself "oh my, I totally forgot I had this". Come on, don't be shy! If you're honest with yourself I think you'll find we're all like that.
So I found all this amazing older, yet timeless, supplies and I fell in love with it all over again. So I, of course, used it! Also in my cleaning and organizing I found a couple of sheets of corrugated cardstock and some vintage book pages. Two unique and different textures but ones I wanted to use. Oh so much fun!
Here is a layout I created. Remember my previous post about stamping on tissue paper? Well I did it again! I found, quite by accident, mind you, that I could use my V2 Vellum Adhesive for my tissue paper. Tissue paper and vintage book pages can be brittle and easily disinegrate in your hands.
The V2 Vellum Adhesive allowed me to get an even spray over the entire book page and keep it in tact.
The stamped image is from Unity Stamp Company. Have you seen their stamps? So pretty!!!
Going to a polar opposite of brittle vintage book pages I found a couple of sheets of corrugated cardstock. I think corrugated is making a renaissance. Truly it's timeless and there are so many things you can do with it. For this card I simply cut out a 4×4 square and inked it up. I used my Acid Free glue to adhere the corrugated piece to the patterned paper. Corrugated paper is heavier and needs a stronger adhesive to hold it down. Helmar's Acid Free glue will do that for you!
Notice the dimension on the stamped image accent? I used Liquid Scrap Dots to give me just the right amount of dimension and lift on my accent. Stamped image is again from Unity Stamp Company.
