Well it is Beck here again with another share of Helmar Goodness! I have just had a fun pay with some Helmar Decopage and Craft Paste, and so I am now here showing you what I got up to!
I decided on a 6 x 6 canvas that I wanted to incorapte some yummy texture into. The Helmar Decopage and Craft Paste really helps you do this with no fuss at all.
For this project I simply covered a piece of paper towel with the Helmar Decopage and Craft Paste and just scrunched it a little as I adhered it onto the canvas. I swirled it around with my hands squashing out any air bubbles but leaving the many creases. I then layered on paint, modelling paste, impasto, Glimmar glaze, metallic rub on and stamping to produce this piece with a great deal of complexity.
I guess the thing I love most about Helmar Decopage and Craft Paste is that if you go wrong it makes it easy to cover it over and start again.
Once the main of the canvas was complete, I gave it a quick spray with Crystal Kote gloss to finish it, seal it and protect it.
To add on the embellishments including the acetate butterfly, I used some Helmar 450 Quick Dry and Liquid Scrap dots.
I hope I have inspired you to go out of your comfort zone and try something a little different.
Remember, with this project if you don't like it just get another paper towel and stick it over to start again.
