Hi! My name is Erin Gudge, and I am so excited to be the March Guest Designer for Helmar! I fell in love with Helmar after Helmar Design Team member, Shelly Hein introduced me to the products. I think I personally own almost every product, and I carry them in my store, www.treasuredscrapbooking.com.
In addition to owning my store, I am a mom to three, wife to one, and a full time college student studying for my BFA in Graphic Design. If you were to search my bag on campus, you’d find my pink mini laptop, scissors, rulers in several shapes and sizes, Sharpies (my not so secret addiction), a granola bar, Helmar 450, and Helmar Craft Glue. J I’m telling ya, I’m a junkie!
A little bit about me as a scrapper: I’ve been scrapping for about five years now, I think. I am a level 11 out of 10 addict. I turned my walk in closet into my scrapbook room, so now my poor husband can only have clothes that fit in a dresser. J Luckily he doesn’t mind. I have been luckily enough to be on design teams with quite a few of the Helmar DT in the small world of scrapbooking. I scrap across the board, sometimes I am simple and linear, sometimes I go full out multimedia with paint and tape and craziness. I like the idea of future generations seeing my pages, but I don’t really scrap for heritage as much now. I scrap for myself, I scrap for personal expression, and sometimes I scrap for therapy.
I am head over heels for anything dimensional. I don’t believe in flat pages, and my albums are fat and proud of it! The Helmar Zap Dots and the Helmar Liquid Scrapdots just SING TO ME for their excellent dimension. Here is a layout I made using both products and the March Kit from Treasured Scrapbooking.
Here is a close up, you can see that I stacked two Zap Dots on top of each other for one part of my cluster.
I also love how heavy duty the Liquid Scrapdots is. I have a heavy glass rainbow on my page and I used the Liquid Scrapdots to adhere it to my page. Worked like a charm!
