So this is my first blog post for Helmar hope you enjoy what I've created. I like to get a little messy so I pulled out my new Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology papers and using a mixture of Tattered Angels Glimmermist and Tim Holtz inks I went to work to create my background, I adore the effect that's been created.
I pulled out all the adhesives I wanted to use, definitely the trusty Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner (think this is my most well used item), Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive, Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots
I was inspired by Cathy's post (here) and decided to use my Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive in a similar way she has. Firstly I applied my paint to the chipboard flourish, and after letting it dry I roughly wiped it and removed some of the paint. I then sprayed the Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive over the chipboard piece and and sprinkled the gold glitter randomly over the piece. Incredibly impressed with how well it holds the glitter
Love my flower?? I do and it was sooooo easy to make too, all I did was cut circles from white tissue paper and used my lace edged circle punch around the edges. After I had made about 10 of these circles I gathered them all together and stitched a button through the middle. Starting with the first circle pull it up and slightly wrap it around itself continue with the remaining circles until you have a puff ball effect. You can stamp on the circles before hand, add some spray mists or flick droplets over it and let them drizzle. I used my trusty Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere this in place and see the chipboard letters in the background?? I used the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots on them, gives enough definition without it being too much. LOVE this product
The Helmar 450 Quick Dry was perfect for adhering this lace around the paper. Just applied it around the edges placed the lace on top and quick sticks (stole that from my 5yo Daughter) it was stuck, no waiting around to make sure it had stuck, I also used it to adhere that laced plastic doily down the side too, best thing you CAN'T see it. My Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner was used for attaching my photo and journalling spot, great for those items that aren't too heavy.
