Have a chance to play around with my Fiskars punches and my favourite Helmar adhesives again.
Have had this layout sitting on my desk to create for a while and decided that as I had some free time this weekend I would give it a go.
This layout was inspired by Patti Milazzo, who originally created little owls like these ones. I made my owls similar to hers using a mixture of Fiskars and Carl punches that I had on hand. I have modified my owls to suit me and found them very easy to create.
I also played around with some Helmar Crackle Medium when creating my branches that the owls sat on. They didn't quite look right until I added a coat of the Helmar Crackle Medium and then a lick of white ink rubbed in. It then really made the branches look real.
I am really happy with how the layout turned out in the end. I think the owls are pretty cute.. but I think my son, Nate probably got sick of me calling him when I had finished an owl to ask him if he knew what it was and did it look okay..lol.
