Hi, Veronica here today to share with you a cute and functional Mom's Day gift. This is also perfect for those avid readers in your life. If you want to make this cute book mark you will need the following:
Rubber band (I used 7 gypsies) or elastic band from a fabric store
Felt of any color (cut in circles for flowers) Green felt for leaves and background
Buttons
Embroidery floss if you want to sew designs on flowers or leaves and to sew on buttons
Scissors
Helmar Silicone Adhesive Sealant
After cutting your felt in circles to make flowers, sew on your first button.
Tie off the floss on the back of the flower to secure the button.
This is optional.
I decided to take a second smaller button and using my Helmar Fabric glue to adhere it to the base button for a 3D effect
Cut your green felt into the shape of leaves and adhere them to the back of your flowers using Helmar Fabric Glue.
Once all your flowers and leaves are arranged and glued how you want them; using Helmar Fabric Glue adhere the entire arrangement to the a piece of green felt. This will hold your arrangement in place.
Once adhered and dried; Go ahead and fussy cut around your arrangement.
I decided at the last minute that I wanted more embellishments on my flowers so I added some pearls
Next I picked up my rubber band and my Helmar Silicone Adhesive:
I spread a generous amount on my rubber band and placed my flower arrangement on it. Then I placed a heavy book for a full day to make sure it dried in place
