O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree
Much Pleasure you do give me.
Hi its Bridget here, and because its the silly season I have a Christmas craft for you.
What you need:
Stryofoam cones or paper cones
Twine
Bead Garland
Helmars Premium Craft glue
Helmars 450 quick dry glue.
I was able to get my styrofoam cones from Riot craft store, but they were running out of stock so I needed to make a small cone as I wanted three cones, here is how.
Make a paper disc, the height of your cone will be determined by the radius of your circle. Cut a wedge out of your circle. Use Helmar's Premium Craft Glue on the edges, then bring the cut sides of your disc together. I did find using the paper cone more fiddly when adding twine, so I would recommend trying to find the styofoam cones.
Now onto the decorating. Back in August I did a wine bottle craft
I wanted to do a Christmas craft that wasn't over the top and matched my decor. So this is what I came up with.
Using Helmar Premium Craft glue, wrap the twine around your cone. You dont need to cover the whole cone in glue just a few drops as you go. Keep the rows nice and close to each other.
After the glue has dried it is time to add some bling. I Love using Helmars 450 Quick Dry Glue for all my christmas crafts, I no longer get those nasty burns!
Just put a blob of Helmars quick dry glue where you want to place your bead garland and hold for about 30 secs. I repeated this every 4-5 beads until I reached the top of the cone and then I cut of the extra beads. Let this dry for a few minutes before you start on the other rows. You dont have to hold the beads as long as the bottom row supports the beads.
Once again here are my Christmas Trees
I wish you all a lovely Christmas season, May your homes be filled with Joy and wonderful Christmas crafts. Until next time Happy Crafting.
