Old but new.

Hi Everyone, Its Bridget here to share with you another creation I have made using Helmar adhesives.  First I will share with you my completed scrapbook layout.

Do you ever scrap old photos?  I recently moved and while unpacking those old scrapbooking albums, I was amazed at how different my style is now. If you promise not to laugh I will share one.

Hasn't scrapbooking come a long way.  This layout was done about 9 years ago!  I am pretty sure I was using Helmar Acid Free glue then too! The papers have faded at the edges but everything is still stuck firm. So while looking at these old photos I decided it was time to scrap one in the style I now do.

First of all, I used a stencil and texture paste, then using the helmar spreader softened the edges.

Then to the wet texture paste I added some seafoam embossing powder, for some added texture.

After dry I added some red watercolor

.

Using the same watercolor I stamped the page, then I stamped it with the same stamp in black ink.

Also using the black ink added some spots.

Then using Helmar Professional Acid free glue added some ripped up paper.

I wanted a really flat look with this layer, so using Helmar Decoupage and craft paste helped me acheive that.

Using Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive I attached the photo to some paper.

The next layer needed some height and Helmar Scrapdot is the perfect adhesive for the job.

Then all that was left to do was add my embellishments using 450 quick dry adhesive.

I love how Helmar has been my go to brand for adhesives from those early days until now. The quality has always been outstanding and I am always excited to try their new products. Once again here is my completed layout.
