Elle’s Studio Tags, Creative Impressions, Inc. Ribbon and Helmar Adhesives. The Christmas holiday stirs my creative spirit, pulling out all my Christmas theme craft products to play with. Making a few Christmas ornaments every year has become one of my papercraft traditions. It’s amazing how quickly my collection has grown over the years. I hope the ornaments created today will be heirlooms treasured by my family in the years to come.

This ornament is really simple; I chose a pre-made paper Mache pear shape for my ornament. I cut up pieces of tissue paper and set aside. Have a small bowl of water handy. Pour a little Helmar Acid Free Glue in another small bowl. Now, brush a little glue on a portion of the box and apply tissue paper. Dip your finger in the water and gently rub out the wrinkles on the tissue paper. Continue brushing Helmar Acid Free Glue on the box and overlapping the tissue paper. Once the entire box is covered, I brushed Helmar Acid Free Glue over the entire pear box. Once the box is dry, use sand paper to clean off any paper that may hang over the edge of the box. For the leaf, I rubbed a green ink pad over it to add color. Then I brushed Helmar Acid Free Glue over the leaf so it would have the same finish as the pear box. Once the leaf is dry, add a flower, Creative Impressions, Inc red ribbon onto and one of Elle’s Holiday Greetings Studio Tag with Helmar 450 Quick Dry to secure them in place. If you are making this ornament as a gift, fill it with treats, tiny toys or a note.
