I was delighted to see a summer theme on the schedule for my VERY FIRST BLOG POST!!! Yes, this is my very first post here on the design team blog and I am SO SO SO SO SO excited…heehee.
I knew exactly how I would go about making a summer page. I knew it would involve a GREAT kit {check out the Gossamer Blue monthly scrapbook kit I used HERE}, some cutey pictures of my lovely daughter Gracie and some GLUE {Helmar, of course!!}
I went to work using colors that complimenting her summer fresh background… the green of the leaves on the tress and the blue of the sky and lake behind her. I cut and glued and cut again until….
I love layers on my pages and lots of them. Liquid Glue make that so much easier for me. If I used ONLY a tape runner it would be harder to add little bits to each layer in the right places to add the height I am really looking for. Most of my pages have a dozen layers and I like them to pop, not just lay flat.
I did start with Quickfix adhesive runner for the base layers and a few staples were used to help add the many layers of papers, packaging of my supplies and tissue paper {tissue paper can be such a pretty touch on pages}.
I then used the 450 Quick Dry to add the perfect amount of adhesive to quick-stick the layers that followed and many of the embellishments including the banner and the buttons. The best part, even though I do have that depth and the glue more towards the center of my design, the papers and embellishments ARE STUCK FOR GOOD!
and here a little picture of what I was creating with today….
Helmar Supplies:
so fun, huh? I loved how fast my page came together… of course Helmar Adhesive always makes it quick to stick 😉
Have a beautiful day… hope you enjoy the rest of this summer 🙂
