It's funny when you look through your scrapbook layout of your family and see how much they have changed.
How you begin by using pastels and pretty little baby things on the first layout and now that they are teenagers layouts change just as the child does.
Well they have in this house anyway.
The few photos I manage to capture now all seem to have that "Do you REALLY have to take another photo Mum!" look.
The best thing we have done however for our eldest is buy her a camera.
Now.. I have plenty of photos of her that she seems take to take at random. The photo in this layout was taken by my daughter at her birthday party of herself and her friends (Jhane on the left).
Gone are the really pretty pastel layouts and out come the bold pinks, vivid scarlets and black for this layout. I have fun creating this layout. I dusted off my embossing powder tin and went wild withembossing powder on black cardstock with silver embossing powder.
The paper lace ribbon and paper doiley on the right was glimmer misted and then adhered to the layout over the patterned paper using Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive. A perfect choice in my opinion for sticking down fiddly doilies. I then hand cut the hot pink image and overlapped it on the paper doily. To adhere this down I went over the whole doiley with Helmar Acid Free Glue with my Helmar Spreader to smooth the doily out and then over the top of the hand cut image.
All the paper flowers were glimmer misted and adhered down with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. They all have beads in the centre too which stay nicely in place with using Helmar Gemstone Glue.
A great way to mix up your adhesive and make lots of mess. But that the best part about scrapbooking… making a mess!
