Are we all still on Helmar Holiday Blog Hop hangover today? I had such a good time seeing all of your comments, the projects of my fellow teammates, and the ideas are swirling! Such a talented bunch this is and I'm really honored to be a part of it!
Today I have something super simple to show you, and basically it's in answer to some of your questions about Helmar Liquid SCRAPDOTS.
I have gotten several emails since my time on the Helmar DT asking me 'what's the deal" with "those Scrapdots". How do they work? Do I like them? What's the catch?
Well, there is NO catch and basically, it's a super simple way to add dimension to any of your papercrafting projects. They work similar to Helmar "Zap Dots", but the benefit is that you can decide JUST how much/how little dimension you want. It also works on odd surfaces such as metal, plastic, and wood.
Today it dawned on me that I had the perfect project to show you how to use Liquid SCRAPDOTS on. I was issued a challenge out in blogland to use NO embellishments. None. Oh my heck, are you kidding me? Have you SEEN my cards? LOL
I decided that today was the day to show you Liquid SCRAPDOTS in action. I had to add SOMETHING to this card, so I decided to cut out my stamped image and decided to add some dimension using Scrapdots. Here I applied them to the back of my image:
I then decided what the heck, why not a little more? The nice thing about Scrapdots is that you can apply more ontop of what you already applied and they just keep adding until you acheive desired height/effect. If they're TOO high, you can always pat it down a bit, too, once you apply whatever you are adhering to the base. In this case, I did tame down the height just a bit:
