Happy Tuesday Everyone! Aymee Gandy here on this beautiful day to share a 'bewitching' little giftbag and card I have created using some of my trusty Helmar Adhesives and products from a few of our preferred vendors. For this project, I used Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots, Helmar Premium Craft Glue, and the Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner.
I have created a 'witches broom' treat bag filled with a candy corn mixture for Halloween. To create this treat bag, all you need is a basic brown paper lunch bag. I just love paper lunch bags for crafting. They are so inexpensive and the possibilities are endless with them. Now, if you want a really tall 'broom' you can leave the lunch bag as is, but I decided I wanted a shorter broom. So I cut my lunch bag down to 7 inches tall. Once cut down, I opened up the bag and cut strips into the bag all the way around. You start at the top and cut down to the base of the bag. This will form the bristles of your 'broom.' Next, I filled a plastic goodie bag with a candy corn mixture, placed a wooden dowel in the center, and tied it off at the top with some twine. You will want to cut the wooden dowel to be long enough to stick out the top of the 'broom' in order to form the stick of the broom. I then placed this down on the bottom of the lunch bag. Next, you will want to gather up all of your 'bristles' and tie them off with a rubber band. This will be the base of your treat bag. All that you have left to do is embellish as desired. For my project, I used products from some of our wonderful preferred partners…Jillibean Soup, Elle's Studio, and Bella Blvd. Here is what I came up with:
To adhere the little card with the sentiment on it, I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue. I adhered the ribbon bow onto the card using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots.

Now, to hide where I tied this together with a rubber band, I decided to twist some copper colored craft wire around. It just reminded me of the wire you see on those old fashioned brooms.
The ribbon is from Jillibean Soup, the die cut card from Elle's Studio, and the alphabet stickers from Bella Blvd.
I decided to make a little note card to match my treat bag. Patterned paper and alphabet is from Bella Blvd, die cut from Elle's Studio, and ribbon from Jillibean Soup. I used the Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner for the card. I also used Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots and Helmar Premium Craft Glue for my ribbon.
