In preperation for my upcoming trip to Ixtapa Mexico, I thought I better get cranking on my project from my trip last January. My trip last year was very different from the usual trips that I take every year with my husband to Ixtapa. Joe stayed home and I took my Mom and two of my dear friends joined us. I really enjoyed it. 4 women, 4 camera's. What could be better. I actually got to be in some pictures. WOO HOO!
This project was made using the 7 gypsies rolodex. I really broke out some seriously old stash for this project but I'm in love with the way it's turning out. I have plastic bins that are filled with embellishments from over many years of scrapbooking. They are both old and new and it's great to see how they all come together in this creative process. I'm finished with about 3/4 of it but I wanted to share the project with you while it's in the process. I am using just about every form of Helmar USA Adhesives I own to make this. For a project like this, you need the best and strongest adhesives on the market and I am blessed to be able to work with them.
I'd like to first say that I do not and never have scrapped with a thought process in mind. My projects, cards and layouts all come together as do them. There is no pre-planning for me. So with that said, lets get started with the show…. (always remember that if you want to see a closer view, click on the photos)
All my embellishments were attached using my Helmar USA 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. When you are attaching flowers, metals and ribbons, you want the strongest adhesive and the 450 Quick Dry is the adhesive for the job.
I created my own ATC cards using the 7 gypsies ATC punch. Once that was done I adhered all my photos and pictures to my ATC cards using my Helmar USA Quick-Fix Adhesive runner. I've got tons of stuff that I have popped up on the photos and that job requires some Helmar USA Zapdots.
Preferred partners that I used are Cosmo Cricket and Maya Road. Other products are Prima, Graphic 45, 7Gypsies and October Afternoon.
