This week I wanted to show you how I have used a full 12 x 12 Transparency on my page and what Helmar glues are the best to use.
This is a picture of my neice from Christmas 2009. SO CUTE!! I have used a 12 x 12 transparency and a piece of 12 x 12 co-ordinating paper underneath.
I always lay my page out first, working on all the embellishments I want. I wanted to do something different, so I gathered some similar coloured beads and I twisted wire through them to give me a unique handmade embellishment.
It was so easy to do and I was really happy with how it turned out.
Once I had everything layed out I started to glue, which is so much fun. I found that it was best to use the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive because it stuck straight away. So I didn't have a lot of dry time to worry about.
The other really cool thing I found, when putting the page together is that it is so easy to use a rub-on on a transparency. I found it easier to rub-on transparency than on paper which suprised me.
Once I had the layout the way I wanted it, then the fun time began. For the first time I got to use Helmar V2 Vallum Adhesive.
I layed the patterned paper on a flat surface. Remember to coat the entire sheet of paper and most importantly the corners, because you don't want them to peel back.
Then line up your transparency and lay it on top. The great thing about the Helmar V2 Vallum Adhesive is if you don't get the page down perfectly the first time, you can pull it up and try it again. Then once you are happy with it, leave it on the flat surface to dry.
So happy with the way this turned out. It has truly got me in the festive spirit!
