I have a couple of projects to share with you today. Both home decor orientated rather than paper crafting! This time Both projects used This great product. (Helmar Super Tac) It is a white glue which is great for paper, wood,, plastic, craft fabric use…..all kinds of projects. It dries clear and I love it most because it is flexible (Just like it says on the bottle) Certainly not the type that cracks off when it is bent.

I love text and knew that this blank space above the window in my dining room would be perfect for some wall art. (full picture below)
I measured the space I wanted the text to fill then worked out the size font I needed to use. I printed it out on white cardstock and cut each letter out with a scalpel, its a bit fiddly and time consuming, but the end result looks good!!!
I used a cutting mat and a scalpel so I had better control over the details, but you could just as easily use a pair of fine detail scissors. I then painted each letter with some chocolate coloured paint.
Once the paint dried I went over each letter with a two coats of Helmar Acrylic Sealer, to give the letters some dimension with lots of gloss.
I used pale blue paint to write "Quin" on the wall with a paint brush in cursive and let it dry.
Then I covered the back of each letter with a thin layer of Helmar Super-tac Glue, one at a time to prevent them drying before I was ready to use them.
I stuck the letters up- considering the spacing carefully and I called the job done!
GOOD TIP…….You can use a soft wet cloth to wipe any excess glue which may have gotten on the wall, it will wipe off easily if you get it before it dries.
Heres another Project I did recently using Helmar Super Tac Glue.
This one was one my DH and I did a few weeks ago. My Dad gave me a hinged wine box a few months ago and I really didnt know what I would use it for. Until I got this bright idea. I had lots of paints Shimmerz, alcohol inks and the like, in a drawer hard to see and difficult to use.
I decided this wine box pulled apart and filled with shelves would be perfect.
My DH cut all the pieces we needed and Using the Helmar Supertac I glued in all the shelving and once dry we mounted each to the wall with wall screws.
John cut me some extra shelves and I used Helmar Super tac to glue them directly to the wall. ( I just held each shelf until the glue set for each shelf, just a few minutes each.) None of what I planned to sit on these shelves is very heavy, so I figured I would try it. It held perfectly (and has done for the last 2 months or so)
Cool Huh? Helmar adhesives are so very versatile. It glues much, much more than paper!!!!!
