This is Jean and I want to be the first to say Happy World Smile Day to you! Actually, I think we should smile every day! Pretty much any day I can play with paper is a day that I am smiling!
Reason to Smile
On a more serious note, October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month! I would like to give a shout out to each and every one of you who have been affected by this. I am a two time Breast Cancer survivor with the last diagnosis being in 1997. That means it has been almost 20 years since I heard those words "You have cancer". I want to encourage you to take charge of your health – early detection is key for breast cancer. Both times, mine was caught on a mammogram.
Each year a friend and I walk in Relay for Life. We started almost 20 years ago and we did not know each other except from church. But, each year we would make a promise to return and we hold hands and walk and catch up on our lives. We only saw each other annually at these walks. A few years ago, we decided to fix that and now meet regularly to talk and catch up on our lives.
So to honor both Smiling and Cancer, I created a layout for you using many of my favorite Helmar products!
